About Me

Dave Pickering: Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom; I was a reporter and photographer with community newspaper the North Edinburgh News until March this year. I am currently 'considering my options', 'spending more time with my family', etc. etc. In my spare time I am an actor, quizmaster and all-round entertainer (at least I think I am!). My long-suffering wife is Caroline - she is not a great supporter of this blog idea and has called me a 'self-indulgent t*sser'- who manages a local advice centre, and I have three grown-up (well, relatively) children - Brian, Gail Knutt and Kevin.
